# GIR mark

The GIR mark is a technical diagram, not an hourglass.

- The upper and lower forms are opposing light cones.
- The horizontal saddle is the fabric of space passing through the central singularity.
- The inner folds give the saddle perspective and must remain distinct from the cones.
- The dotted orbit is a quiet curvature reference, not a decorative ring.
- Axis points mark the dimensional extents and keep the symbol directional.

## Rendering

The canonical source is `art/gir-mark.svg`. Product surfaces use monochrome silver-white on black. Android adaptive and monochrome icons are native vectors; raster assets are legacy fallbacks only.

At small sizes, preserve the cones, outer fabric edges, center line, and four endpoint dots. The inner folds and dotted orbit may reduce in opacity but should not be replaced by a solid circle.

## Motion

Loading motion follows one continuous damru-like cycle:

1. The light-cone pair rotates by no more than 4.2 degrees.
2. Cone width pinches by no more than 5.5 percent.
3. The fabric plane oscillates by less than one vector unit.
4. The orbital reference and axis points remain fixed.

Never spin the complete mark through 180 degrees, collapse it edge-on, or animate the fabric as a third light cone.
